LONDON (ICIS news)--The Sri Lankan Ministry of Agriculture has received offers from seven different fertilizer traders under its 20 March tender for 24,000 tonnes of urea, trader sources said on Monday.
The lowest offer came from international trader company Transammonia, which offered 24,000 tonnes of open/Russian product for May shipment at $347.70/tonne (€257/tonne) CFR (cost and freight) including 180 days’ credit.
Trader company Helm offered 24,000-36,000 tonnes of open origin urea for April-May shipment in bulk at $356/tonne CFR with credit plus the same volume of bagged material for May-June shipment at $370.95/tonne CFR, also with credit.
Blue Deebaj offered two 12,000 tonne lots of Middle East/Russian urea for April-May shipment at $357/tonne CFR and $357.50/tonne CFR with credit.
Swiss-based trader Ameropa offered 24,000 tonnes of Russian/Middle East/Chinese material for June-July shipment at $361.89/tonne CFR with credit.
Beirut-based trader Midgulf offered Middle East and Ukrainian urea in three 12,000 lots for May-July shipment. The first two lots were priced at $367/tonne CFR with credit while the last was priced at $369.85/tonne CFR with credit.
Toepfer offered three lots of 12,000 tonnes of Qatari urea for June, July and August shipment. The prices ranged from $388.75-394/tonne CFR with credit.
Finally, ETA offered 24,000 tonnes of Middle East and Russian urea at $419.97/tonne CIF (cost, insurance and freight) with 180 days’ credit.
Sri Lanka imports urea for use on paddy rice crops.
