NeoMedia Technologies and Intel to Collaborate on PaperClick as Mobile-to-Internet Linking Platform
Business Wire - June 21, 2004 08:30

FT. MYERS, Fla., Jun 21, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: NEOM), today announced that it has entered into a collaborative agreement with Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC) for NeoMedia's PaperClick(R) mobile connectivity platform to operate on the recently introduced Intel PXA27x processor family-based cellular phones.

Charles T. Jensen, president, COO and acting CEO of NeoMedia, said the collaborative effort with Intel is aimed at tapping the rapidly-developing global wireless Internet connectivity markets for Web-enabled tri-band, WiFi (802.11b) and BlueTooth(R) devices.

"Today," said Jensen, "business enterprise and mobile consumer lifestyles demand the ability to access all types of information, anywhere at any time. NeoMedia and Intel have agreed to work jointly, including developing and marketing NeoMedia's PaperClick product for the PXA27x processor family, and cooperating to foster penetration of the enterprise and consumer global mobile marketplace by both companies.

"NeoMedia believes our PaperClick platform can be a significant asset and capability in the wireless broadband space," Jensen said. "The direct-to-content (D2C) technology of PaperClick enables and drives a multitude of high volume data transfer. D2C means faster and easier access to high data applications, including music and video downloads, full motion video, multimedia applications, file transfer and text. PaperClick delivers to users all that the Internet has to offer."

Intel PXA27x Processor Family

The PXA27x processor family was designed by Intel from the ground up for wireless clients, and incorporating the latest Intel advancements in mobile technology, redefining what a wireless handheld can do by incorporating innovative new features while borrowing and enhancing others from the world of the PC.

The PXA27x processors are the first Intel XScale(R) technology-based processors to include Intel Wireless MMX(TM) technology, enabling high-performance multimedia acceleration with an industry-proven instruction set. Another innovative feature is the Intel(R) Quick Capture technology, designed by Intel to provide one of the industry's most flexible and powerful camera interfaces for capturing digital images and video.

Patented PaperClick Technology

NeoMedia is the developer, patents holder and global provider of a revolutionary Internet linking technology. The PaperClick software platform provides the means of connecting the entire physical world directly to specific Web content and services.

"To be chosen by Intel and to join forces with a company of Intel's stature is yet another major validation of the functionality and marketability of NeoMedia technologies," Jensen said. "In partnership with Intel, NeoMedia is eager to bring PaperClick technology and XScale technology to an awaiting worldwide audience."

NeoMedia Introduces 'Silver Solutions' for High Metallic and Pearl Paint Repairs
Business Wire - June 22, 2004 10:45

FT. MYERS, Fla., Jun 22, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- "Silver Solutions," a new process created specifically to mend the popular high metallic and pearl paint finishes on new cars, has been introduced by the NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair business unit of NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: NEOM).

"Technicians trained in Silver Solutions can provide low-cost repairs of high metallic paints and exotic pearls at minimal effort using the NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair system," said Chuck Jensen, president, COO and acting CEO of the parent company.

"Today, optional high metallic and pearl finishes are increasingly popular among consumers," he said. "Unfortunately, with their dream car came the universal headache of how to quickly and cost-efficiently repair scratches, blemishes, and dings on high-tech surfaces."

Jensen said that with Silver Solution, auto body shops do not have to pay special attention to lighting and application technique, as previously necessary, when such refinishing was expensive and difficult.

"Traditionally, high pearls and metallics would be blended over a large area, adding to material costs and the time needed to complete a repair," he said. "Now, a NeoMedia-trained technician can perform a micro repair at a fraction of the cost and time of old-fashioned methods because Silver Solutions is designed specifically for metallics and pearls, where lack of pigment or translucent pigment made colors difficult colors to match. Silver Solution also fully controls the dreaded 'halo' effect, allowing metallics and pearls to maintain identical orientation throughout the repair, resulting in a superior micro repair," he said, noting that "even with minimal training, many first-time Silver Solution users can perform complex and technical micro repairs.

"We are committed to keeping NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair on the cutting edge of technology," said Jensen.

Today's announcement marked the second time in as many days that NeoMedia Technologies has made news. Yesterday it announced a collaborative agreement with Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC) for NeoMedia's PaperClick(R) mobile connectivity platform to operate on the recently introduced Intel PXA27x processor family-based cellular phones.

Additional information about Silver Solutions and on how to become a licensed, authorized NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair Systems Expert(TM).is available from www.neom.com/products/mpr/index.jsp or by calling (877) 203-6393.

NeoMedia's New 'Go-Window' for PDAs and Cell Phones Fulfills Promise of 'Information at Your Fingertips'

Business Wire - July 08, 2004 08:30

FT. MYERS, Fla., Jul 8, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- "PaperClick Mobile Go-Window(TM)," a new wireless product linking Web-based PDAs and cell phones directly to targeted online information via patented PaperClick(R) technology and software, was introduced today by NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: NEOM).

"The Mobile Go-Window represents a breakthrough in wireless technological-enablement for today's on-the-go business and consumer users who rely on handheld devices," said Charles T. Jensen, president, COO and acting CEO of NeoMedia. "It puts the reach and power of the Internet in Web-enabled PDAs and cell phones, wherever they are, whenever needed. Today, finally, any handheld device running the Mobile Go-Window can fulfill the promise of Bill Gates's famous 'information at your fingertips' mantra."

PaperClick Mobile Go-Window - a horizontal bar on the screen of a PDA or Smartphone - lets users enter the numerical value of a UPC, EAN, ISBN or PaperClick-generated bar code bar to automatically link to the targeted information.

The Go-Window is NeoMedia's latest product for the worldwide wireless marketplace, following the introduction of PaperClick for Camera Cell Phones(TM) in December, which employed the camera of a Web-enabled phone to take a "picture" of a bar code to link to the Web. NeoMedia's growing product family is based on its patented PaperClick technology, which allows bar codes and other machine-readable identifiers to be directly linked to targeted Web-based information sources. Earlier versions of PaperClick run on Windows(R)-based PCs and the Palm Pilot(R) PDA.

Jensen said that the PaperClick Mobile Go-Window is initially available for PDAs and phones, including cell phones and camera cell phones, which are PalmOS(TM)-based. The Mobile Go-Window is certified for use on the Palm(TM) Tungsten C PDA and the Handspring(TM) Treo 600 Smartphone, and compatible with any Palm OS-based device running the Palm Web Browser or the Blazer Web Browser.

Business and Consumer Data 'At Your Fingertips'

"With the new PaperClick Mobile Go-Window, business users can quickly show customers videos on the screens of their Web-enabled PDAs or phones, and consumers can get the information they want, from nutritional data on food at a popular restaurant chain to seeing movie previews or even purchasing tickets," Jensen said. "And that's just the tip of the iceberg!"

Available to Service Providers

Jensen said that while the PaperClick Mobile Go-Window is designed for business and consumers, it is initially available only to providers of Web-based services for PDAs and Smartphones.

"The widespread popularity of PDAs and cell phones, including the new Smartphone, has created a worldwide aftermarket," he said. "It is our hope that service providers and manufacturers who want to differentiate themselves from their competitors and enhance their product offerings with utility, power and ease-of-use will 'go' with the Go-Window from NeoMedia."

NeoMedia's new PaperClick Mobile Go-Window is currently also available to manufacturers of PDAs, IT and wireless industry research analysts, and potential partners. Information is available from (630) 435-9200, Ext. 125, or by e-mailing info1@paperclick.com.

NeoMedia Extends Availability of New 'Go-Window' Product to Include Java MIDP 2.0-Based Cell Phones and Wireless Devices

FT. MYERS, Fla., Jul 14, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- NeoMedia Technologies, Inc.
(OTC BB: NEOM), said today it has extended the availability of its "PaperClick
Mobile Go-Window(TM)" product for cell phones, PDAs and other Web-enabled
wireless devices to include the popular Java MIDP 2.0 (Mobile Independent Device
Profile) standard.

The PaperClick Mobile Go-Window is a horizontal bar on the screen of a wireless
device where users can enter numeric strings from UPC or other bar codes to link
directly to targeted online information via patented PaperClick(R) technology
and software.

"Our Go-Window is now compatible with cell phones, Smartphones, PDAs and other
wireless devices which support Java MIDP 2.0 and which allow retrieval of URLs
through the MIDP 'platform Request' method," said Charles T. Jensen, president,
COO and acting CEO of NeoMedia. "Java MIDP 2.0 has emerged as a popular
worldwide industry standard for new wireless devices, including the Nokia(R)
6600 cell phones and the soon-to-be-released Samsung(R) A700," he said.

Last week NeoMedia introduced the Go-Window for devices using the PalmOS(TM)
(operating system), including the Palm(TM) Tungsten C PDA and the Handspring(TM)
Treo 270 and 600 Smartphones. The Go-Window is also compatible with any Palm
OS-based device running the Palm Web Browser or the Blazer Web Browser. NeoMedia
also supports the worldwide marketplace for SymbianOS(TM)-based devices with its
PaperClick for Camera Cell Phones(TM) product, which was introduced in December,
employing the camera of a Web-enabled phone to take a "picture" of a bar code to
link to the Web. Among the phones supported by the SymbianOS are the Nokia 3600,
3620, 3650, and 3660.

NeoMedia's growing product family is based on its patented PaperClick
technology, which allows bar codes and other machine-readable identifiers to be
directly linked to targeted Web-based information sources. Earlier versions of
PaperClick run on Windows(R)-based PCs and the Palm Pilot(R) PDA.
