Speculation and interest in Homeland Security stocks seems to be fueling DYTK’s major spike today. In early trading DYTK’s share price soared 81% to an intra-day high of $1.29. Today’s intra-day high also represents an increase of 72% over our initial profile price.

The company is currently trading up $0.35 (49%) over Monday’s close at $1.06 on 16,805,420 shares (30 times the daily volume).

Media attention and encouraging press releases are helping RMTR trend significantly higher. On April 7 RMTR announced that it has signed an agreement with National Semiconductor Corporation to settle their long standing patent interference dispute.

As consideration for the assigned patent applications and cross license provisions, RMTR will pay National ten annual payments of $250,000. In addition, RMTR and National have agreed to cross license any and all future patents that may mature from the four applications at no additional cost to either company.

Before the press release RMTR was trading for $3.18; by the end of the following day RMTR’s share price had climbed 19.5% to an intra-day high of $3.80.

In today’s market, RMTR’s share price jumped $0.10 over Monday’s close to a new year-long high of $4.25. Today’s new high also represents a gain of 75.6% over our initial profile price.

RMTR is currently trading down 2% over Monday’s close at $4.04 on 125,172 shares.
