NEW YORK, May 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American International Petroleum Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: AIPN - News) today reported revenues of $1,301,000 for the first quarter ended March 31, 2002, compared to $2,264,000 for the year ago first quarter. The net loss for the quarter just ended was $(2,607,000), or $(.01) per share, compared to a loss of $(2,526,000), or $(.02) per share, for the year ago quarter. The loss for the March 31, 2002 quarter just ended includes non-cash charges of $878,000 versus $718,000 for the comparable year ago period. Weighted average shares outstanding were 186,903,541 for the quarter just ended.
