In late U.S. trading, the euro traded near $1.1770,up 0.10 percent from its previous U.S. close and within the day's well-worn ranges.
Analysts linked the euro's inability to climb higher against the dollar to technical resistance blocking the path above $1.1800. But many traders insist the single currency remains on an uptrend fueled by its interest rate advantage.
