be up 37% in 2003, according to Thomson First Call
Is that wishful thinking? Odds are yes. Last year at
this time, analysts expected earnings to be up 46%
in 2002. Now, they're expected to finish up 2%
Eventually, the bulls will be right, but such strong
growth appears far too optimistic. The best odds for
tech stocks is to book a 10-15% growth - not bad,
but not as bullish as some have predicted this year.
