Much like in the past several weeks, market direction was dictated by Fedcomments in recent days. While the Dow and S&P 500 have achieved breakouts, the average stock has largely traded sideways (when using breadth as a guide).

We would suspect this sideways action is a direct result of uncertainty overmonetary policy.

Given the action in financial shares, one would think that
Tuesday's expected rate hike will be the last for the cycle.

On the other hand, this is at odds with Fed Funds Futures, which are currently suggesting at least
two more hikes.

Because of the Fed's history of not stopping until either a crisis and/or economic slowdown unfolds, we would guess that rate hikes beyond Tuesday are quite likely.

As such, it would not surprise us if the uncertainty
which has persisted recently in the market continues after Tuesday's Fed announcement.

تراجع مؤشر داو جونز الامريكي عند الفتح

نيويورك (رويترز) - تراجعت اسعار اسهم الشركات الامريكية الكبرى عند الفتح في وول ستريت يوم الاثنين مع لجوء المستثمرين الى توخي الحذر ترقبا لاعلان البيان الخاص بسياسة مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي يوم الثلاثاء بحثا عن مؤشرات بشأن موعد الكف عن رفع اسعار الفائدة.
ولم تتأثر أسهم شركات التكنولوجيا بهذا الاتجاه.
وانخفض مؤشر داو جونز لاسهم الشركات الصناعية الكبرى 17.04 نقطة بنسبة 0.15 في المئة الى 11262.93 نقطة.
وتراجع مؤشر ستاندارد اند بورز 500 الاوسع نطاقا 1.42 نقطة بنسبة 0.11 في المئة الى 1301.53 نقطة.
وارتفع مؤشر ناسداك المجمع الذي تغلب عليه اسهم شركات التكنولوجيا 2.73 نقطة بنسبة 0.12 في المئة الى 2315.55 نقطة.
